Step 1: Getting to know each other

It all starts with listening. In a first conversation we look at your garden, your wishes and the way you want to live with water around you. What is possible in your garden is often more than expected, even on smaller plots. This is the moment to dream, without being tied down by technique or budget.

Step 2: Tailor-made design

Based on that conversation we develop a design that suits your home and your garden. At Plons we deliberately choose tailor-made work over standard solutions. Every pool is drawn around the spot where it will be built, so it feels like it always belonged there.

Step 3: Permits and preparation

Depending on the size and location of your pool, a permit or notification is required. We guide you through this, so you do not have to wade through regulations yourself. In the meantime we prepare the site: soil survey, planning, choice of materials.

Step 4: The construction itself

This is the moment your garden changes. Excavation, placing the shell, connecting the technical installations (filtration, heating, lighting), finishing the edge and surroundings. For an average Plons project this phase takes a few weeks, depending on size and season.

Step 5: Start-up and handover

Filling the water, testing the systems, and then the moment it was all about: the first dive, together with you. We take the time to explain how everything works, so you can enjoy it carefree from day one, time after time.

How long does the whole process take?

From first conversation to first splash, count on 6 to 16 weeks, depending on the season and your choices. The pool shell itself is usually placed in just one week. Start in autumn and you often swim the following summer.

What does building a pool cost?

The cost of a pool depends on the size, the finish and your garden, because at Plons we work exclusively tailor-made, not with fixed models. As a guide price: a compact city garden pool of 4x2 m starts from € 30,000, a family pool of 6x3 m costs between € 40,000 and € 60,000, and a larger villa pool between € 60,000 and € 120,000. These amounts include installation, technique, lighting and standard finishing. Excavation and soil removal are not included, as those costs vary greatly per garden and access. Because every pool is designed around your specific garden, a conversation at your home gives the most accurate picture of your price.

What does a pool cost per year?

Enjoying your pool should not overshadow your summer with sky-high bills. Count on € 400 to € 1,000 per year in consumption: filtration, heating and maintenance products. With a heat pump, a solar cover and an energy-saving pump you keep that amount low and your water pleasantly warm, even outside high season. Rather not worry about skimmers and water quality? Plons takes over the weekly maintenance from € 75 per week, from April to September, so the only thing left for you to do is jump in.
